Truck collides with tree early New Year’s Day
A 21-year-old man is facing numerous charges after his truck collided with a tree in the Country Club West area of Grande Prairie.
At approximately 1:55 a.m. on January 1, Grande Prairie RCMP responded to the collision at 66 Avenue and 99th Street. When they arrived, the driver was not there and they were not able to find him at the time. The next day, Dylan Hudson went to the Grande Prairie detachment to report the incident.
After an investigation, police charged Hudson with two counts of failure to comply, driving carelessly, failure to remain at the scene of a collision, driving while unauthorized, driving while uninsured, and unlawful display of a license plate.
Officers say there were no injuries in the collision. Hudson is set to appear in provincial court on January 17, 2018, in Grande Prairie.
