Extreme cold warning issued for Grande Prairie area
Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning for the Grande Prairie area and northern Alberta.
In the forecast for the city, temperatures can reach minus 43 with the wind chill overnight Wednesday. According to Environment Canada, an Arctic airmass continuing to slide south over Alberta will produce extreme cold conditions tonight. They say cold temperatures combined with winds of 10 to 15 km/h will produce wind chill values of -40 or colder.

- The area near Beaverlodge Hythe and Demmitt
- Grande Prairie and Wembley
- County of Grande Prairie near Sexsmith and La Glace
- M.D. of Greenview near DeBolt
- M.D. of Greenview near Little Smoky
- M.D. of Greenview near O’Brien Prov. Park and Big Mtn Creek
- M.D. of Greenview near Sturgeon Lake
- M.D. of Greenview near Valleyview and New Fish Creek
- M.D. of Greenview near Wapiti and Shuttler Flats Rec. Area
