Power restored for north and east of Grande Prairie

UPDATE: The power is back on for the areas north and east of Grande Prairie, according to ATCO Electric. They are asking people to contact them if they are still experiencing outages.

The lights have gone out in parts of the County of Grande Prairie.

ATCO Electric says power outages have been reported in Bezanson, Clairmont, Sexsmith, and surrounding areas. 

ATCO says a breaker has gone out.  Crews are responding, but they don’t know how long it will take to restore the power.
