Alberta Party leadership hopefuls in Grande Prairie

Jan 22, 2018 | 5:18 AM

The Alberta Party leadership hopefuls will be in Grande Prairie this week for a Meet and Greet.

Conrad Guay North West Regional Organizer with the party says Rick Fraser, Stephen Mandel and Kara Levis will be at the Pomeroy Hotel and Conference Centre.

“There is no charge, come and go as you please, it is an open meet and greet. There will be tables there, there will be information, there will be people on sight to sell memberships or take donations.”

He expects a packed house.

“We are definitely seeing another surge in membership purchases, the sign-ups for these events are turning out very well. I believe the Calgary event sold out and the Red Deer also sold out so it’s looking really good. There is a lot of interest.”

“This leadership race is very exciting for the Alberta Party. We’ve been experiencing amazing growth over the last year, and we are excited to have a new leader continue to grow the party”, said Aaron Penson, President of the Grande Prairie-Smoky constituency association.

He adds, “Having Leadership candidates come to the Peace is a great opportunity for people to more about the Party and ask the candidates questions about the direction they see the party moving”.

The event goes from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. Thursday with the leadership vote taking place February 25th to 27th.
