Man charged after sexual assault complaint

Grande Prairie RCMP is releasing very little details, but have laid charges against a Nova Scotia man after an alleged sexual assault.

Thirty-nine-year-old Joshua Higgins has been charged with Sexual Assault and Aggravated Sexual Assault, according to RCMP in a media release. 

Police say they received a complaint against Higgins on January 21, 2018.

Higgins remains in custody and is due in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on Wednesday. 

Since this is before the courts, RCMP will not be releasing any more information.
