Top three teams separated by two points in NWJHL

Jan 29, 2018 | 5:39 AM

There are only two weeks left in the North West Junior Hockey League regular season and there is still plenty to be determined during that time.

Friday night the Fort St.John Flyers hammered the Kings 8-0, while the North Peace Navigators squeaked out a 5-4 win on the road against Dawson Creek.

Both clubs would be victorious on Saturday night as well.

The Navigators had a big 7-1 win against the Kings, Fort St.John earned a 4-3 win in Fairview, and Sexsmith obliterated Beaverlodge 12-0.

With the Huskies and Navigators winning both of their games this weekend, they have closed the gap with Dawson Creek.

The Navigators are now just two points back of the Canucks, and the Huskies just one, both with games in hand.

The NWJHL regular season resumes on Friday when the Navigators host Beaverlodge, the Kings are in Dawson Creek, and Fairview travels to Fort St.John.
