The 2018 playoffs are underway in the North Peace Hockey League, and a pair of road teams were victorious last night.

The double round robin in the West Division kicked off with the Grande Prairie Athletics picking up a big 6-2 win over the Dawson Creek Canucks.

Grande Prairie will host Fort St.John on Thursday, and Fort St.John will welcome Dawson Creek Saturday.

Both series in the East Division began Tuesday evening as well.

High Prairie had a dominating performance over Grimshaw winning 9-3 to take a 1-0 series lead.

While in Falher, the Manning Comets stole home-ice advantage by securing a 6-5 overtime win over the Pirates.

Both series will play Game 2 on Thursday night.
