Two dead after collision involving logging truck

Two people from Edmonton are dead after a collision involving a logging truck yesterday afternoon (February 22). 

Grande Prairie RCMP is investigating the collision that happened around 12:45 p.m. at the intersection of Canfor Road and Forestry Trunk Road. RCMP say a southbound truck collided with a logging truck that was eastbound on the Canfor.

The 67-year-old driver of the truck and a 27-year-old passenger were confirmed dead at the scene. A female passenger from Mundare, was flown to hospital by STARS with serious injuries.

The person in the logging truck was not injured. 

Officers say all possible factors are being looked at and the collision remains under investigation.
