A local man is taking Facebook users down memory lane and rekindling old friendships at the same time.

Mike Bortnick created Grande Prairie and Region Back in the Day where people post pictures of the city before it was a city.

“Well a lot of the other places there’s always drama and complaining about road conditions but with this, it is just general historical pictures.”

He says people are also sharing their stories and reconnecting with former classmates.
