Where to get your green beer today? There’s a map for that!

If you’re planning to get your green on today for St Patrick’s Day and wondering where to go, Best Bar None has mapped out on their website, local establishments that are part of their safety accreditation program.

“We wanted to put something on the website of more value to bar-goers. So, we went with a mapping function that would identify any of the over 150 accredited bars in the province, including Grande Prairie,” explained David Young, Program Coordinator for the Best Bar None Program with the AGLC.

In Grande Prairie, there are 11 different local establishments that are part of the program. Young says Best Bar None is a safety-accreditation program for the industry that recognizes bars that put a high value on patrons’ safety and customer service.

The Best Bar Finder lists Best Bar None accredited venues and what they have planned for St. Paddy’s Day. You can even filter through different options including craft beer, live music, dance floors, food and special events.

There are also tips on the website.

“One of the tips is to have a designated driver handy,” said Young.  “If someone isn’t drinking, that’s a useful person to have around, to make sure everyone gets home safely and doesn’t get on the road.”

St. Paddy’s Day is one of the busiest days of the year for bars, pubs, and lounges.
