Fatal collision near DeBolt claims life of local man

A 22-year-old man from Grande Prairie has died after a collision near DeBolt Thursday. He was the passenger in a pickup truck that hit a semi-truck head on. 

RCMP were called to the crash on Forestry Trunk Road at the 8 km mark yesterday around 5 p.m. 

The 39-year-old man driving the pickup was taken to hospital by STARS.  The extent of his injuries is not known. 

The lone occupant of the semi was not injured.
