Apr 24, 2018 | 11:13 AM

Thanks to tips from the public, more than half a kilogram of cocaine has been taken off the streets of Grande Prairie and three men have been arrested and charged.

ALERT started their investigation in January, after receiving information about the suspected drug trafficking.

On Friday April 13, a home in Grande Prairie’s Mountview neighbourhood was searched and ALERT seized 510 grams of cocaine and $20,960 cash proceeds of crime.  They also seized packaging materials, scales and multiple cellphones.

Ryan Lindgrin, 28, is charged with drug trafficking (x 5), possession for the purpose of trafficking (x 2), and possession of proceeds of crime (x 2). He remains in custody and will make his next court appearance on April 30. Lindgrin also has an outstanding warrant from British Columbia for drug offences.

Brodie House, 30, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (x 2), and possession of proceeds of crime (x 2). He has been released on bail.

Patrick Rabbitt, 32, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of proceeds of crime. He has been released on bail.

“This is a significant amount of cocaine to take out of circulation in Grande Prairie,” said Acting Insp. John Wilson, ALERT regional teams. “But we know there are more drugs out there on the streets, and we will continue to pursue drug dealers who pose a risk to the safety of the community.”
