Grande Prairie man now charged in three drug cases

Apr 27, 2018 | 1:03 PM

New drug charges have been laid against a 43-year-old Grande Prairie man, already facing charges in two other drug cases.

ALERT says Andre Rozon has been charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, three of breach of recognizance, and a single count of possession of the proceeds of crime.

Nolan Knibbs, 27, is facing the same charges.

Both were charged after $15,000 worth of cocaine and methamphetamine were seized, along with heroin and cash, during a search of a vehicle by ALERT officers April 25.

Alberta Justice says Rozon had also been arrested April 11 on possession of a controlled substance and breach of recognizance charges. A warrant for arrest was issued April 23, when he did not show up for court.

Rozon was one of two people charged in September of 2017 after ALERT searched a home and vehicle in Grande Prairie. Police turned up drugs, replica handguns, and cash. He is due to stand trial on trafficking and other charges September 5.

The other person charged in that case, Rebecca Reilly, is due to stand trial Wednesday on a single count of possession of a controlled substance.
