UPDATE: Grande Prairie RCMP respond to collision on Highway 672

UPDATE April 27: The highway has been re-opened and spill cleaned

April 26: The Grande Prairie RCMP are responding to a single vehicle collision on Highway 672 and Range Road 74.

Thursday at 6:10 p.m. police responded to a report of a semi-truck rollover near Sexsmith.

The driver was hauling two tankers of diesel fuel which have spilled and are leaking.

The driver was not injured in the collision.

RCMP remain on the scene with the County Fire Department, Environmental Services, and Hazmat crews to assist with clean-up.

Traffic has been stopped in both directions and crews anticipate the clean-up to take several hours.
