UPDATE May 1: Grande Prairie RCMP say they have identified the suspect in the hit and run and the incident remains under investigation.

April 30: Grande Prairie RCMP are looking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects after a hit and run.

On Sunday morning around 7:40, police were called to the area near the Elk’s Hall at 106 Street as a white Dodge Ram was hit by a black Jeep Liberty.

The Jeep was travelling at high speeds, according to a release from RCMP.

The suspect fled on foot and returned to the scene in a red Chevrolet truck that someone else was driving.

Police say they then sprayed the inside of the jeep with a fire extinguisher, although there was no fire.

After further investigation, RCMP found that the jeep was stolen from Red Deer on April 27.

Police are looking for any information on the driver of the Jeep Liberty and red Chevy truck.

They are also looking to talk to witnesses.
