Highway 43 west clean-up set for Thursday

May 2, 2018 | 4:20 PM

More than 100 staff from the City’s Parks Operations department will be spending Thursday morning cleaning up garbage.

They will be picking up litter along Highway 43 west from 7 a.m. until Noon.

The speed limit will be down to 60 kilometres per hour. Drivers are asked to slow down and watch for people, other vehicles, and garbage bags along the road

City staff went out three different times on that same seven-kilometre stretch last year between May and July and picked up almost nine tonnes of garbage.
