Mayor looking for help writing his State of the City Address

Grande Prairie Mayor Bill Given is looking for some help ahead of the State of the City Address next week.

He posted a video on his Facebook page asking residents to submit their topic ideas.

“What kind of things would you like to hear the mayor address in this annual event, the speech is usually about 20 minutes long so I won’t get a chance to speak to all of the topics and ideas.”

Given says he will post a full list of topics people want him to discuss on the Facebook page.

Typically, the mayor reflects on the year past and a look ahead to the rest of the current year at the address.

The Grande Prairie and District Chamber of Commerce event is Thursday the 10th from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Montrose Cultural Centre.
