City Hall says work on the next phase of the Downtown Rehabilitation and Streetscapes Project will start Monday.
The part of 100 Avenue between 101 and 102 Streets will be closed so underground pipe that is 80 years old can be replaced. Ground level improvements will be done as well.
Traffic will be detoured onto 102 Avenue while the work is being done. Temporary traffic lights will be in place at the 100 and 102 Street intersections.
The same work will be done along 100 Avenue between 100 and 101 Streets later in the summer.
Construction is scheduled to wrap up in October.
Downtown businesses will remain open.
