Location change for the 2019 Dream Home

Jun 12, 2018 | 6:38 AM

The 26th Annual Rotary Dream Home will be built in Carriage Lane Estates.

For 2019, the 2546 square foot home will also have a new builder, High Mark Homes. Raffle Manager Kevin Hilgers says the change is all about keeping it “fresh”.

“I would say every year is a little different than the year before. We are looking at more of a farm or ranch style this year. I just think variety is the spice of life especially with something like a Dream Home Lottery. People want to come see what is new and exciting. Part of that is the home and part of that is, yes, the location,” said Hilgers.

He says it is healthy to move the home around, but the lottery is no stranger to Carriage Lane as it spent three years in the area up until 2015. The home will have five bedrooms and 3 and a half bathrooms with “natural textures and wood elements”, according to a press release.

“Last year we had no basement and this year we will. We have a few secrets that will be let out this fall or winter. We have something that will be very, very cool, especially for young tikes. For now, it is top secret.”

The Dream Home tickets, 50-50 draw, and Cash Cow Calendar were all sell-outs this year. Hilgers says there are plans for more ticket packages and larger 50-50 draw next year.

The 2019 campaign will get underway near Christmas. Hilgers says they are in the midst of digging up sponsors.
