Fatal collision involving motorcycle Saturday night

A motorcyclist has died after a collision with a pick-up truck north of Wembley.

Beaverlodge RCMP were called to Highway 724 and Township Road 722 around 10 p.m. Saturday.

According to investigators, the northbound truck turned left in front of the southbound motorcycle.  The man on the motorcycle, a 43-year-old from Grande Prairie, was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver of the truck was not injured.

The family of the victim has been notified and RCMP will not be releasing his name.

The collison is still under investigation with the assistance of the RCMP Peace River Collision Analyst.
