Jun 23, 2018 | 4:39 PM

A dog that authorities have been searching for since a woman was attacked has been found and euthanized.

June 5th a woman was walking her two small dogs when she was attacked by two pit-bull type dogs.

One dog was detained while the other evaded capture.

Grande Prairie RCMP say they received a report Saturday about 2:30 a.m. that the dog on the loose named Casanova was seen around Crystal Landing.

Officers located the dog, that was considered dangerous, in a yard on 103 Avenue.

According to police “Nova” was behaving aggressively and for the safety of the public was put down.

The owners have been notified and RCMP are thanking the public for help with this matter.
