Full intersection closure by 214 Place bumped up a few days

The complete intersection closure at 100 Avenue and 102 Street near 214 Place is ahead of schedule and will now be starting Tuesday (June 26).

This intersection will be closed for about three weeks. To access the west side of the city, motorists will need to take 84 Avenue, 108 Avenue, or 116 Avenue.

100 Street can be used to travel north and south.

Eastbound traffic through downtown (99 Avenue) will not be affected.

On Thursday, construction moves along to 100 Avenue from 101 Street to 100 Street (Simple Temptations to Wonderland area). This section will be closed to vehicle traffic until sometime in October.

City Transit says there will be a temporary detour for bus #4 starting tomorrow as well.

Starting tomorrow morning, transit Route #4 will be experiencing a temporary detour as it leaves Town Centre Mall towards GPRC.

Bus stop #400 will be closed during this time.

The detour is in place for approximately 3 weeks.
