Traffic signage changes coming to CKC area

As of Tuesday, the city is removing the north and southbound stop signs on Knowledge Way West near Charles Spencer school.
 
The city says the signs are being removed to reduce the risk of collisions associated with traffic backing up on to 68th avenue during peak traffic times. 
 
It’s being done now to give motorists the chance to adjust to the changes before the start of the new school year in September. 
 
Pedestrians are reminded to use marked crosswalks in that area, and motorists are required to stop for any pedestrians trying to cross at those crosswalks.
