$100,000 lotto ticket sold in Clairmont

A lotto ticket sold at the Husky in Clairmont was a $100,000 winner.

Rueben Aldred won $100,000 on the LOTTO 6/49 EXTRA draw. He correctly matched the last six digits of the drawn EXTRA number, 3685464.

He was shocked when he found out the ticket was a winner on the April 25 EXTRA draw.

“I usually hold on to my lottery tickets for a few months before checking them,” he said. “When the jackpot was big in June, I thought I should check if any prizes were won in Alberta.”

“I looked online and saw that there were a few LOTTO MAX and EXTRA wins in Alberta recently, so I took my tickets to the store,” he said. “I scanned this ticket and I couldn’t believe it – the EXTRA winner in Alberta was me!”

As for what Aldred will do with his winnings, he says he doesn’t have any big plans yet but will save some of the cash.

“For now I’m just going to pay some bills and put most of it in the bank,” he said.

The ticket was purchased at the Husky Travel Centre in Clairmont.
