Pair arrested after they were found in stolen parked car

A man and woman have been arrested after RCMP found them in a stolen parked car in the Wal-Mart parking lot last week.

On Tuesday, July 10, around 10:30 in the morning, the Western Alberta District Rural Crime Reduction Team was patrolling the area when they discovered the pair and arrested them without incident.

21-year-old Brandon Dwayne Mahon of Grande Prairie has been charged with Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, and three counts of failing to comply with his Recognizance. He was remanded into custody and appeared in court on July 11, 2018.

30-year-old Amanda Mary Kathrin Olsen of Fairview has been charged with Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000. She was released from custody and is due in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on August 8, 2018.
