Pair charged after stolen property recovered
Spirit River RCMP say property stolen in three different communities has been recovered and two people are facing charges as a result.
Police say on July 24, a vehicle fled from a traffic stop. RCMP did not give chase out of concern for the safety of the public.
That same vehicle was located later stuck in some brush near Woking.
A man was arrested on the scene while a woman was located close by and also arrested.
Mounties found property that had been taken during vehicle break-ins in the Grande Prairie area, Beaverlodge, and Grande Cache.
Geoffrey Huyghebaert, 42, from Grande Prairie and Nadelle Thoreson, 36, from Beaverlodge are each charges of Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000, Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000, and Possession of Break-In Instruments
Both are due in court August 11. He will stay in custody . She has been released on recognizance with conditions.
