Four arrested after drugs/weapons found in Grande Prairie home

Two men and two women have been arrested and charged following an ALERT bust on a home in Country Club West last week that resulted in drugs and weapons being seized.

The three-week long investigation was conducted by ALERT’s organized crime and gang team as well as Grande Prairie RCMP and arrests were made July 26th.

Officers found:

– 515 grams of cocaine;
– 212 grams of cannabis resin;
– 53 grams of marijuana;
– a hydraulic press;
– a Taser;
– brass knuckles;
– more than $6,000 cash proceeds of crime; and
– six unsecured firearms, including two semi-automatic pistols, three rifles and a shotgun.

Charged are:

29-year-old Gregory Beamish with X3 possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, X2 possession of a prohibited weapon, X6 unsafe storage of a firearm, and X2 possession of proceeds of crime.

34-year-old Jennifer Beamish with X2 possession of a prohibited weapon and X2 possession of proceeds of crime.

27-year-old Blandon Willier-Callio with X4 trafficking a controlled substance, X3 possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and X2 possession of proceeds of crime.

23-year-old Hunter Miles with trafficking a controlled substance.

“This investigation was able to make a significant impact in a short period of time,” said Acting Insp. John Wilson, ALERT Regional teams. “Getting dangerous drugs and weapons like these off the streets of communities like Grande Prairie is at the top of our list of priorities.”
