UPDATE: Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Grande Prairie and area ended

Update: The Severe Thunderstorm Warning has ended for Grande Prairie and area.

Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for the Grande Prairie area.

The warning states that a cluster of severe thunderstorms capable of producing quarter-sized hail and damaging winds in excess of 90 km/h near Beaverlodge are moving eastward at 40 km/h.

There were reports of quarter-sized hail in Beaverlodge at 2 p.m.

There are also reports of flooding.
