Emergency crews respond to two vehicle collision on highway 40

A two-vehicle collision caused some delays Monday night on Highway 40.

At approximately 6:24 p.m., the Grande Prairie RCMP along with fire services, and EMS attended to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 40 and Township Road 710.

A cleaning crew was also dispatched to clean up an oil spill as a result of the accident.

A semi-tanker truck and a pickup truck were involved in the collision.

The 43-year-old driver of the pickup truck was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the semi-tanker truck was not injured and all possible contributing factors related to the collision are currently being looked at as the matter does remain under investigation.
