Two skid steers were allegedly stolen sometime overnight between Monday and Tuesday from Beaverlodge and RCMP were able to track them down to the Dawson Creek area.

RCMP from Beaverlodge requested the help from Dawson Creek RCMP in recovering stolen heavy equipment on Tuesday. Using satellite imagery and GPS, an approximate location was pinpointed and police found yellow equipment that matched the description of the stolen skid steers.

Officers were also able to turn up four stolen pick-up trucks and other stolen items during the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing. Police have two men in custody; they are known to RCMP.
