Dayton Sutherland closing in on first chuckwagon win

A third generation chuckwagon driver is on the verge of his first career WPCA event victory.  

Dayton Sutherland – the son of Mark Sutherland and grandson of chuckwagon legend Kelly Sutherland- has an almost three second lead in the aggregate going into the final day of the season ending Battle of the Rockies in Rocky Mountain House. 

Sutherland had the second best time on Saturday night, 15-100ths of a second behind Gary Gorst. 

His three day aggregate time of 3:46.57 is 2.91 seconds ahead of Logan Gorst. 

The season ending event wraps up on Sunday afternoon.
