Graham Construction says hospital was underfunded

Graham Construction says it did not get fired, it quit.
The company has issued a statement regarding the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital saying it told the government in a letter dated August 17 that it was giving notice that it was terminating its contract.
The company says it took this step because there was not enough money in the budget to finish the hospital as planned by a designer hired by Alberta Infrastructure. It also charges that there were design delays, along with the underfunding.
Graham adds it had met with the province as recently as last week and offered to bring in a mediator to sort things out.
The company’s statement goes on to say it will be seeking damages.
