Peace River man charged after allegedly stealing from a garage

A Peace River resident is facing numerous charges after a break-and-enter in the south end of that town.
RCMP was called to a break-and-enter in progress on September 15. A homeowner reported someone was stealing property from their garage. Before police got there the suspect left on foot but he was located by police after a brief search of the area.
Twenty-three-year-old Roderick Sorensen is facing charges including breaking and entering with intent to commit theft, theft under $5000 and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
Sorensen remains in custody and he is scheduled to appear in court on September 19, 2018.
