Boardwalk properties banning cannabis

A rental company in Alberta is banning smoking, eating or growing cannabis in all of its properties across the province, including in Grande Prairie.

Boardwalk is telling its tenants that despite marijuana becoming legal next month, its properties will be pot-free.

The company says it wants to ensure the safety of families who live in its apartment buildings.

Boardwalk has about 22,000 units in Alberta.
