Two arrested after male shot in Grande Prairie

Little information is available after RCMP say someone was shot Thursday in the city.

Officers were called around 5:51 p.m. to 92 Street and 100 Avenue to reports that a male had been shot.

One male was taken to hospital but it is unclear what his injuries are.

Two suspects were arrested and are in custody. The RCMP and Grande Prairie General Investigation Section continue to investigate but say there is no risk to public safety as this was an isolated incident.

Earlier that evening a truck drove into a liquor store in the same area of Cobblestone but Mounties have not confirmed if the two incidents are connected.
