New DTA Executive Director settling into role
Wendy Bosch has spent approximately a month in her role as the new Executive Director of the Grande Prairie Downtown Association.
She says she has some big shoes to fill after Helen Rice retired from her manager position in the summer.
“She is a fabulous mentor and a fabulous woman,” says Bosch.
“I am not going to come in and change everything, it isn’t respectful. But, change will come as it always does.”
She adds that the position is bringing on a lot of learning and giving her the opportunity to build relationships with people in the community.
Rice was in manager position with the DTA for 17 years.
“The important thing is to make sure the downtown remains a strong force in the regional market and the big advantage of the association is the members with their commitment to make the downtown strong. I think Wendy will do fabulous at that,” said Rice in an August interview following the announcement of her retirement.
