Oct 11, 2018 | 4:19 PM

People in the Peace bought a lot of Smile Cookies last month.

The Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation says in a post on its Facebook page that the annual fund-raiser collected $55,735 for the Foundation.

The money will go towards two playrooms for kids at the new hospital.

That same post also says Sean Sargent Toyota and Ken Sargent GMC Buick were the biggest buyers of Smile Cookies in the whole country.

They bought 20,000 and gave them out to emergency personnel and school kids.

Smile Cookies were sold for a loonie apiece at Tim Hortons locations between September 17 and 23.
