Man in custody after traffic stop

A suspect is in custody after using a fake identity and being in possession of a stolen vehicle and firearm.

On Sunday, October 14, at roughly 5:30 p.m., Grande Prairie RCMP were called in to aid City Enforcement after a traffic stop on 99 Street and 99 Avenue.

A further investigation revealed the suspect was using a fake identity, was in possession of a stolen vehicle and a firearm.

Twenty-two-year-old Jesse Kenneth Roberts of Grande Prairie has been charged with four offences including, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Obstruct Peace/Police Officer, and Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm.
