Applications now being accepted for Rotary Youth Exchange program

The Rotary Clubs of Grande Prairie are once again recruiting for the fall of 2019 and summer 2020 exchange year.
 
Youth Exchange Committee Chair Karen Munjak says this fully funded program by the Rotary offers students a once in a lifetime opportunity.
 
“The Rotary Youth Exchange Program has been around for decades.  And every year, clubs from around the world send thousands of kids off on the experience of a lifetime, living in another country for a year.”
 
Munjak adds students must 16 years of age or older prior to June 30, 2019, and can not turn 19 during their exchange year in order to be eligible.
 
“We are looking for kids who are open to new experiences, and who will be able to cope with being away from home in a completely new situation for a year.”
 
Students will be given the opportunity to chose which country they would like to visit which include Belguim, Switzerland, Sweden, Netherlands, Portugal, and Italy.
 
Applications must be submitted by November 5. Successful applicants will be contacted for an interview on Nov. 10.
