One victim described as a sweetheart during graphic testimony on Day 2 of murder trial
There has been some very graphic testimony from eyewitnesses on Day 2 of the Daniel Goodridge trial.
One witness described in detail the attack on David Derksen and how it started inside before moving outside.
Two witnesses both described Goodridge as having no facial expression, with one adding he was wide-eyed during the attack on David Derksen.
The Agreed Statement of Facts says Derksen suffered 70 stab wounds and had some body parts missing, some of which were not recovered.
Hally Dubois also died at the work camp near Fox Creek in June of 2015. That same statement says she had 11 stab wounds.
When asked to describe what Dubois was like, one of the witnesses said “She was a sweetheart. She could not do enough for you.”
That same Agreed Statement of Facts says Daniel Goodridge stabbed both people to death. He has pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disorder.
A total of four witnesses were expected to testify Tuesday.
Two weeks have been set aside for the trial.
