Highway 40 now open after serious collision

UPDATE: RCMP has confirmed all lanes of travel are now open after a motor vehicle collision on Highway 40, north of the Wapiti River earlier this morning. Mounties are investigating and all possible factors related to this collision are being considered.

(8:55 a.m.): Grande Prairie RCMP are on scene at a serious collision that has shut down Highway 40 north of the Wapiti River.

Mounties and emergency services are on scene and motorists are warned of delays and asked to consider another route.
