Oil & Gas 101 Field Trip planned

An Oil and Gas 101 Field Trip is planned in the County of Grande Prairie next week.

Richard Harris, a member of the Wapiti Area Synergy Partnership, says participants will be shown from a bus what the energy sites are all about.

“To help the landowners and the residents understand oil and gas activity and what it means when we say we are pumping water or we are fracking or we are drilling a well.”

There will be experts on the bus to answer any questions.

“We’ll be showing them from the bus what the sites do and answering any questions, there will be content experts available on the bus to be able to help the public with their questions.”

The field trip leaves from the Philip J Currie Dinosaur Museum 8:00 a.m. Saturday the 24th. You must register by November 15 to take part.
