Pair facing drugs and weapons charges

Two women are facing drugs and weapons-related charges after RCMP searched a home on the Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation.

Valleyview RCMP, in partnership with the RCMP Western Alberta Crime Reduction Unit and RCMP Police Dog Services, executed a search warrant Thursday, November 22nd and seized over 30 grams of methamphetamine, along with 4-hydroxybutanoic acid (GHB) and cocaine, numerous weapons, cell phones and cash.

The following people are charged:

Tasunkawitkowin MOVESCAMP-MCLEAN, 22:

         Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine
         Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking 4-hydroxybutanoic acid (GHB)
         Possession of Cocaine
         Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
         Fail to Comply with a Probation Order x 2
