Bus cancellations due to icy roads

All rural school buses are cancelled around the region due to icy road conditions.

All Peace Wapiti Public School Division buses are cancelled and all Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools rural buses are cancelled this morning. Grande Prairie Catholic buses in the city are still running.

All Valhalla Community school bus routes are also cancelled today.

Northern Gateway school buses for Valleyview and Fox Creek are cancelled as well. The schools will be open.

The freezing rain warning has now ended for the region. Yesterday, Grande prairie received 1.6 mm of rain – this made for very poor driving conditions both in and around the city.
