Despite the result Saturday night at Revolution Place, the Grande Prairie Storm won off the ice with the annual Teddy Bear Toss game.
The yearly event which sees fans bring new or lightly used stuffed animals to the game and then chuck them onto the ice following the home sides first goal saw more than 500 plush animals fly through the sky Saturday evening.
Fans were starting to become restless as the Storm hadn’t found the back of the net entering the 3rd period, but the wait ended midway through the final frame when Jonathon Hader scored his first goal of the season.
