Snowfall records set in Peace region communities

Snow plows are now out on city streets after Grande Prairie broke a 69 year old record for snowfall on December 29th. 
 
A total of 18.3 cm of snowfall was recorded at Grande Prairie Airport yesterday, shattering the previous mark of 10.2 cm set in 1949. 
 
Peace River also broke a snowfall record, as the 11.4 cm that fell there yesterday broke their previous December 29th mark of 10 cm, which was set in 2004.
