Women of Influence Awards nominations now being accepted

Nominations are now open for the 2019 Women of Influence Awards.
 
The City’s Social Development Manager, Angela Sutherland, says the awards are going to highlight the success and accomplishments of local women.
 
“The awards recognize local women who have made a strong impact as leaders, innovators and change-makers in our community,” says Sutherland.
 
Three awards are available which include Young Woman of Influence, Trailblazing Woman of Influence and Distinguished Woman of Influence.
 
“I’m really excited and I’m looking forward to working with our collaborative committee on providing our second annual award ceremony,” says Sutherland. “I’m excited to see who our nominations are and who we can recognize this year because I think that our community does have a lot of amazing women, and I’m looking forward to providing a platform for them to share their stories.”
 
Sutherland says the award ceremony will be held at Teresa Sargent Hall on International Women’s Day, March 8.
