Man charged after incident in Countryside South

Police have charged a 35-year-old man after an incident in the Countryside South neighbourhood Monday.

Just before 2 a.m. RCMP received a report of a man at a residence with a firearm.  The man had been removed from that same residence earlier in the evening.

A shot was fired and the suspect fled to another home in the Countryside South area.

One male was taken into custody around 11 a.m New Year’s Eve with help from Police Dog Services and the RCMP Emergency Response Team.

Carl Ross Yarborough of Grande Prairie has been charged with careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, discharge a firearm while being reckless and mischief.
