Traffic stop leads to seizure of crack cocaine, fentanyl and cash

Charges have been laid after an incident in Grande Prairie last Friday.

On January 4, the Grande Prairie Municipal Drug Unit pulled over a vehicle which then rammed and damaged two police vehicles. 

The driver was found in possession of individually packaged drugs such as crack cocaine and fentanyl. 

Thirty-three-year-old Paul Michael Wilson is facing the following charges:

– possession for the purpose of trafficking x 2
– possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose x 2
– possession of property obtained by crime
– mischief over $5,000 x 2

He’s scheduled to appear in court on January 9, 2019.

No officers or members of the public were hurt during the incident.
