Grande Prairie RCMP advise against unnecessary travel today

Grande Prairie RCMP have released a warning about local hazardous driving conditions and say unnecessary travel is strongly discouraged.

With freezing temperatures, snow-covered roads and thick fog there are poor road and driving conditions in and around the city.

If you travel, you’re asked to use extreme caution.

Earlier this morning, there was a reported collision on Highway 43 and Range Road 54/55 area.

There was also very heavy fog reported on Wapiti Hill and what looked like a large rig equipment move in progress.
